Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an international fellowship of individuals who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements.
Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. Check out our resources below for a listing of meetings in the La Crosse area, outside the La Crosse area, and virtual options as well.
Al-Anon
Al-Anon’s purpose is to help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the drinking problem of a loved one.
Our program of recovery is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and is based upon the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of Service. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Al-Anon/Alateen is not affiliated with any other organization or outside entity.
Alateen is our recovery program for young people based on the same practices as Al-Anon. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members with conversation to facilitate understanding and healing.
